Language Support

Parse.ly’s UI is available in English only. There is currently no internationalization and localization (translating our English-language dashboard strings to your local language). This also means Parse.ly does not formally support interface shifts for RTL languages, such as Arabic. However, very few English-language strings appear in the product. It displays your site’s data in an intuitive way.

Dashboard: metadata and Smart Tags

The dashboard presents information from your CMS and page metadata as-is, using the Unicode standard. From the standpoint of basic functionality, Parse.ly supports all the world’s languages that have HTML support. Note that automatically-generated Smart Tags are exclusively in English.

API: search endpoint

Parse.ly crawls the full text of your article pages and indexes that text to power its search and recommendation features in the API. The languages supported in this process are a subset of the languages supported by Unicode, and are described in our /search API docs.
