Author listed as ‘Staff’ or incorrect
When using the Parse.ly Dashboard, either in the Authors tab or elsewhere, you may find occasions when the author is listed as “Staff” or incorrect under another name.
Staff
“Staff” is displayed as the author in the Dashboard when no author has been provided in Parse.ly metadata. If you expect to see an author’s name instead of “Staff,” review Parse.ly’s metadata requirements with your development team.

Incorrect author name
Author names are presented in the Dashboard based on provided metadata. If using the WordPress Parse.ly plugin, your development team can fix an incorrect author name in the Dashboard by customizing metadata output using various filters. If not using the WordPress plugin, review Parse.ly’s metadata documentation with your development team.

Updating the Dashboard after fixing metadata
After making changes to the metadata being provided, Parse.ly will need to recrawl to bring that updated metadata into your Dashboard. There are various options for this process — read more about updating metadata via a recrawl.
