Recirculation rate
Recirculation rate is the percent of total page views that went on to another page on your site. Page views that go on to visit another page on your site are called “referred views.”
Parse.ly calculates the recirculation rate metric with this formula:
(referred views / total page views ) * 100
What is a referred view?
A referred view is a page view that goes on to view another page on the site. For example, if you have 10 total page views on a post, and 5 of them go on to view another page on your site, the original post will log 5 referred views.
Using recirculation rate
Sorting Parse.ly Dashboard tabs by recirculation rate will help you understand what content keeps the most visitors on your site.
For example, sorting the Posts tab by recirculation rate, then fine-tuning your view using other Dashboard settings and filters, allows you to narrow or expand your trend analysis by time period, section, campaign, etc.
