# Tips for using Parse.ly Sage

[Parse.ly Sage](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/parsely-sage/)‘s goal is to allow
you to ask any question in simple language and get an answer, along with a link
to the specific area in the [Parse.ly Dashboard](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/)
where you can dig further. While Parse.ly Sagecan answer almost all queries, the
tips below should help you get the right answer more quickly.

## Use consistent terms

Try to use the same terminology as the Dashboard. For example, [sections](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/sections-tab/)
refer to groupings of content, while [tags](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/tags-tab/)
are used to categorize and help readers find specific content.

## Specify time frames clearly

If you want data for a specific period, like yesterday, include that in your query.
Note that once you’ve set a time frame in an earlier query, Parse.ly Sage will continue
to use that time frame unless you specify a new one in subsequent queries.

## Refine and retry if needed

If the first answer from Parse.ly Sage isn’t perfect, update your prompt and try
again. You might reword your query or adjust specific details to get a better response.

## Google Search Console data

Queries related to [Google Search Console data](https://docs.parse.ly/tools-features/google-search-console/)
may not produce the best results at this time. Parse.ly is working to improve this
in future updates.

## Understand current limitations

Parse.ly Sage does not currently support creating [headline tests](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/headline-testing-tab/),
[goals](https://docs.parse.ly/tools-features/goals/), [segments](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/segments-tab/),
[reports](https://docs.parse.ly/measuring-reporting-performance/reports-guide/),
[users](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/), [shared links](https://docs.parse.ly/tools-features/data-outside-parsely/),
or [alerts](https://docs.parse.ly/tools-features/alerts/). In general, avoid asking
it to create items within the Dashboard. Parse.ly Sage may also struggle to return
accurate results for bottom-performing aspects such as posts, sections, tags, referrers,
campaigns, etc., and for general queries about segments. Parse.ly is actively working
on improvements to make these insights more reliable.
