# Sites vs. network

The [Parse.ly Dashboard](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/) can display metrics and
insights for single sites, as well as for the entire network of sites. [User access](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/)
can be limited to single sites or granted for the full network.

## Sites

A site is attached to a specific website domain, such as `demoaccount.parsely.com`.

[Site admins](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/roles-permissions/)
can [invite, edit, and remove users](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/)
who have access to a site in the Dashboard. Network admins can create [site groups](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/navigating/groups/).

## Network

A network is composed of multiple sites. For instance, `demoaccount.parsely.com`
and `testing.parsely.com` are part of the `Parse.ly Demo` network.

[Network admins](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/roles-permissions/)
have access to all sites in a network via the [top bar](https://docs.parse.ly/dashboard/navigating/top-bar/).
They can [manage users and settings](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/)
for individual sites or the network as a whole.

Use [Network Rollup](https://docs.parse.ly/tools-features/network-rollup/) to view
the Dashboard at the network level, including all the sites that your [user account](https://docs.parse.ly/account-management/users/roles-permissions/)
has access to.
